Brown Owls Social Crafting Group
Brisbane Brown Owls meet once or twice a month in various locations throughout Brisbane. At each meet up we either learn a new craft or you can bring along your own craft to do. It's all about sharing crafty knowledge and skills, meeting crafty people and having a cuppa.
Knitters and Knatters Social Yarn Craft Group
Knitters & Knatters is funded by the Brisbane City Council, as part of their Gold program. If you would like to learn a skill or have been knitting or crocheting for years this session is for you! The group experiments with sustainable yarn projects using traditional knitting, crochet and weaving techniques. As more people participate, there will be opportunities for people to mentor in their given yarn technique, make a crafty connection, or be inspired by a new concept or idea. Places are limited because of funding, so bookings are essential. Also we like to know how much tea, coffee and biscuits we need to have on hand for the afternoon!
Macramé and Weaving Social Group
The Macramé and Weaving Social Group provides an opportunity for lovers of basket weaving, loom weaving and macramé to get together and spend an afternoon weaving, knotting and chatting. Bring along your own project, work on a group project or for those who are new to these crafts, book into a weaving or macramé workshop and continue working into the afternoon with the social group. All levels are welcome from absolute beginners through to advanced.
Embroidery and Sewing Social Group
This group provides an opportunity for anyone who loves hand-stitching or machine sewing to get together and spend an afternoon with like-minded stitch enthusiasts. Bring along your own project, work on a group project or for those who are new to needlework and sewing, book into a morning workshop and continue working into the afternoon with the social group. All levels are welcome from absolute beginners through to advanced. This is a great opportunity to share and be inspired by each other's work. Any form of stitching is encouraged!
