THE GARDEN PROJECT: As part of the creative, community hub of The Nest Community, The Garden Project provides an inclusive outdoor space for social gardening & cultural workshops, activities & events.
With a creative, sustainable design, The Garden Project provides space for seasonal produce, herbs, food forest, & free range chickens & native bees. The garden includes outdoor events space for social, cultural & community activities.
SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOPS: To promote chemical-free, low cost & sustainable gardening, composting, worm farming, seed collecting, plant propagating, bush tucker, preserving, fermenting & cooking.
CREATIVE WORKSHOPS: Sculpture, mosaics, pottery, children’s art, murals, stencil & graffiti art, Indigenous art & story telling, poetry & drama, circus, basket weaving, printing, candle making.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES & EVENTS: Multicultural music & events, hand-made markets, eco-education, bush tucker & indigenous cooking, celebration events.

We garden most Thursdays 8am-noon and Saturdays 7-11am (in warmer months). You are welcome to weed or plant anytime you like. No membership fees…just great company and good cups of tea/coffee and laughs.
