Mexican Embroidery

Mexican Embroidery, often associated with Frida Kahlo is a fabulous way inject a bit of colour and personality into your clothing and accessories.

This workshop is perfect for the beginner and this easy to learn traditional stitch can be applied to almost anything in your wardrobe.

During the workshop we will show you all the tips and tricks to up-cycle clothes, bags, scarves, cushions, tea towels or fabric pieces with bright colours and fun patterns. Learn a range of techniques including selecting and altering embroidery designs, transferring to fabric, colour selection and basic stitches. You can make a sampler or start on up-cycling a piece from your wardrobe for Spring.

What's Provided:
- Thread and needles are provided
- The Nest has a range of fabric from The Haberdashery available for purchase at low prices

 What to Bring:
- A piece from your wardrobe or linen closet to upcycle (stretch fabric is not recommended)
- An embroidery hoop
- Reading glasses if necessary
