Reproduce your Favourite Clothing Item Workshop


Do you have a favourite garment that you would like to reproduce? This workshop will cover the techniques to reproduce the style or fit of an existing garment. The techniques covered during this workshop may be applied to many other future projects.

Tutor - Rosemary McCall is a former teacher at Tafe Queensland and has over 20 years experience. We are very excited to have Rosemary onboard with her wealth of experience.

Day 1 - 15th July - discussing techniques used, create the pattern pieces, cut and assemble the garment

Day 2 - 22nd July - finishing any sewing if required, analysing the results and making further adjustments if necessary.

What to bring
- a simple garment you whish to reproduce (examples include a shirt with a dart or interesting neckline, simple skirt, pants with elastic waistband or children's clothing
- please avoide items that are two complex
- basic sewing kit (pins, ruler, paper, pencil, scissors etc)
- 15cm masking tape, glue and paper scissors
- lunch
- sewing machine
