Children's Workshop - Recycled Denim Bag

Don’t let those old jeans go to waste. Come along to the Nest this school holidays, make new friends, and learn how to use an old pair of jeans to make a useful and funky bag.

During this fun workshop you can unleash your creativity to construct and decorate your bag with supplies from the haberdashery store at the Nest. Learn how to use a sewing machine, add fabric decorations, sew on buttons and master some hand sewing skills. Once you know how to sew this great bag you will be able to make your own individual one of a kind designs. No need to go to the shops, solve your gift giving problems by reusing items which would otherwise be sent to landfill.

What to bring
- Fabrics and notions that you wish to use, however you will be able to choose from a large selection on the day
- Lunch and a water bottle

- Sewing machines 

Suitable for girls and boys 11 years and over and the workshop will be lead by experienced high school teachers. Parents will be required to complete a conditions of attendance and medical release form before the class.
