“I picked my daughter up today from school and she was glowing. She loved the chickens and old people and loved being outdoors. She will be back next week! I knew she would enjoy it. Great idea! Thank The Nest Community for me. There should be a lot more of these community programs in schools. Hands on experience is important, not just academic.”
– Mother of an Exchange Project participant
In an increasingly lonely, tumultuous world, The Nest provides an inclusive place that helps women young and old to find purpose, form meaningful relationships and become part of a loving community filled with endless support. Since opening the doors of our community home seven years ago, we have touched the lives of over 10,000 women and continue to nurture and build our community.
Our flagship program, The Exchange Project, is the first of its kind in Australia, providing an unparalleled opportunity for young women to connect with mentors, build confidence and form intergenerational friendships through the sharing of sustainable handmade living skills. We have big plans for this program and hope to eventually partner with more schools, both locally and further afield.
We need your help to make a lasting difference in the lives of many more girls. As a self-funded charity organisation entirely led by volunteers, your donation will strengthen our ability to continue to grow and deliver this groundbreaking program.
